  • We have seldom seen such lushness and growth outside of the Olympic Peninsula or Vancouver Island as on this Salmon River Trail. The trail head is at the end of the E. Salmon River Road just south of Zigzag Oregon. width:640;;height:426

  • Bonneville Dam turbine vanes. This was a rare shot and difficult to get as we only had seconds to do it with only dim lighting. width:640;;height:426
  • Reflection Lake. This is a very nice meadow and forest hike around reflection Lake just below Paradise in Mt. Rainier. width:640;;height:426

  • Embarrassed to say, a shot from somewhere along Stevens Hwy in Mt. Rainier. width:426;;height:640
  • White River about 8 pm. Another difficult to get shot due to forgetting my tripod and having to hand hold the camera propped against a railing for about two seconds. width:640;;height:426
  • The Naches Loop Hike. The scenery took our breath away in places. We just stood and stared. width:426;;height:640
  • Naches Loop again. width:640;;height:426
  • Palouse River Canyon at night at the Palouse Falls State Park. width:640;;height:426
  • Palouse Falls. This was a wonderful clean little park in the middle of nowhere. There are a few trails we didn't have time to explore. Worth coming to if anywhere in the area. width:640;;height:426
  • The Asotin (just below Lewiston) Museum. A wonderful free museum of young peoples vibrant lives during the 1930's and 40's. It's sad to think as you go through that most of these people are now either very old or dead. width:640;;height:426
  • This interesting looking museum in the Sawtooths was unfortunately closed. The outside collection of equipment was still interesting however. width:640;;height:426
  • Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth Mountain area. A very nice resort area with lots of campgrounds... at least until they start shutting them down, as they did just before we came. width:640;;height:426
  • Redfish Lake in the evening about 50 feet from our campground. width:640;;height:426
  • Redfish Lake again in the morning where you get a good view of the Sawtooth Mountains. width:640;;height:426
  • The Redfish Lake's Visitors Center Nature Trail. A beautiful one mile hike. width:640;;height:426
  • Fishhook Trail ends in a pretty little meadow complete with a beaver dam. Unfortunately you have to go through a lot of beetle infested dead trees to get there. width:403;;height:604
  • Shoshone Falls. This canyon was scoured out when the ancient Bonneville Lake that covered much of Nevada and Idaho gave way and rushed past this constriction. width:640;;height:426
